Day 4: Treasure Hunting

Started the day off with the mission to get Jordan to a shipwreck to explore. There are three that you can snorkel, the rest are too deep and require diving tours. Turns out the first option was too deep at sea to reach without booking an excursion. Lame. The other boat was reachable but a newer shipwreck so not as much coral. So we landed on trying to get to Baboo. But the articles online suggested water shoes.

…two hours later…

We finally found water shoes and were back on track. Fortunately the water shoes were definitely necessary as the shore was rocky and would have certainly cut up our feet. So the whole dang side mission to find them felt worth it.

Slowly but surely made it out to the wreck. The little schools of tiny fish glitter as if it’s snowing underwater. One of my favorite things to just float and watch. We got to the wreck and it was neat to see how Mother Nature had taken back over. Utilizing something man made for its own good. Got the snot scared out of me by a pelican diving but then carried on.

Got back to shore and looked for some shells and sea glass. Found some treasures. Then back to the apartment to take a nap, cause vacation. Helped Jordan with a creative project then back to the beach for dinner and another gorgeous sunset.
